The Jäger bombs are a favorite at the bar; this is commonly seen in groups. There is no middle ground; either you love it or you hate it. When it comes to this powerful shot, there aren’t too many middle-ground options. The one thing every bartender should know about it is that it’s a notable cocktail. You can make it pretty much by yourself without mixing since the recipe is so simple. It is an anise-flavored, strong liqueur whose “depressant” effects are mitigated by the energy drink, Red Bull, it is dipped into. This cocktail can definitely keep you entertained as long as you don’t crash too hard. The problem, however, is that this is not a shot for the faint of heart, and it’s quite easy to accidentally take more than you can handle. If you’re going to use Jäger bombs, take it easy.
Many people choose not to consume the “bomb” at all and just pour the shot of Jägermeister directly into Red Bull. Drink in a drop so the shot glass does not hit your teeth hard and crack a tooth while you drink. If you do opt for the drop, be aware that it might hurt your teeth. If you want to use a double bubble glass, you need to use a Quaffer. With two stacked bulbs, it’s an unusual shot glass. With a mixer and liquor, the design naturally creates layers. In a swig, fill the bottom half of the glass with the energy drink, add the Jägermeister on top, and swallow.
