The results were disappointing Swing isn't the same as the old days I was replacing in this manner (2/5)

It is a real disappointment to have this can opener. Can you tell me what the problem is? The new Swing-style is far more efficient than the old Swing-style As opposed to other openers, it has a harder time gripping the can (tends to misalign easily), it doesn't turn as smoothly, and it doesn't cut the lid as cleanly as others. I am now getting a new Swing- from my old one, and this is the journey I have taken to replace it That's the way.
*Right after the holidays last year, I was swinging a Ultimately, the Swing-Way (purchased in 1995) needed to be replaced after nearly 20 years of faithful service. I went to the local store and bought a Kitchenaid, as Swing-Way was not available This is how. Over the course of just a few months, the machine failed to cut properly and align. Here), and it failed again within a month or so. After turning to Amazon, I bought the Swing-Band for $27. 99 assumed that everyone else had lowered the standard of their can openers above what was acceptable. The Swing-Model is unfortunately not available for download My original of Away doesn't match up to this one. I'm not sure what they've done, but the new can opener doesn't grip the can as well, does not turn as easily, and does not cut as cleanly as In my final chapter, I bought a can opener called EZ-Open, which I have used daily since it arrived This is duz- There is a company called John J. Manufacturing that produces IT. St. Louis is the home of Stauby. I was finally able to meet my expectations with this one. It seems to work better for some reason, but I'm not sure why. There's no other way to say it. With this saw, the can will hold tight, it will turn easily and it will cut My old swing will last about 20 years but I don't know whether this one will There's no way to make it look exactly like that, but it's as close as you can get. Moreover, I was surprised and pleased to find that it's made in the USA, wasn't prohibitively expensive, and did not have the same amount of quality as the awful openers I bought from Kitchenaid, OXO, and Swing-Kit. That's the way.

What appears to be true is not what is actually true (1/5)

Over the last 45 years I've owned Swing Away can openers and they've all worked flawlessly, and they've all lasted for a very long time. In the past couple months, I ordered a new Swing Line opener to replace my rusted out, old Swing opener which lasted for at least fifteen I ordered one from amazon and it was a terrible can opener that was unable to cut around the can completely. On several places where the can is half way around, there are gaps of uncut metal. I had a hard time getting the can open because of this. For the lid to break the small area of uncut metal, I had to twist the lid back and forth back and forth. My first thought was that it could just be a defective opener, so I returned it to Amazon. It was the same exact problem when the replacement came. I doubt that these can openers are a real product. However, they appear to be another cheaply made Chinese item of inferior Regardless of how big or small the fish were, the experience was the same. If you like the taste of a particular brand, try a different one.

Here's a list of the wrong swings I have never owned anything like this! This can opener is a bad buy, so don't buy As I was purchasing the item, I was aware there were quality control issues (my previous purchase developed rust more rapidly than I thought it should) (1/5)

In the end, I foolishly purchased it again, thinking I could put up with its rusty state in exchange for its other advantages. However, quality control is going down, down, down! I noticed that the cutting edge of this can opener started to erode after a couple moths. A second problem is that the rubber grips aren't glued onto the handles they slip Therefore, to summarize, yes, I can still use it by holding it awkwardly to apply angular downward pressure (so the cutting edge cuts) and gripping the handles strangely so the rubber doesn't slide. Did I mention don't buy it?.

The Can Opener Didn't Last (2/5)

I find it incredible that we have the technology to send a man into space, but are unable to build a decent manual can opener. It serves the purpose for which I bought it. Instead of using my electric can opener all the time, I have a manual one for some situations. I would estimate I use it 5 to 10 times a week on an average. have used several can openers before this one including a manual one as well as one of those tiny batteries powered Every one of them was a huge disappointment, and now this one follows in that same pattern. As it got harder to use, it became useless to a point where now it does not even function. The handle will not turn and the cutting blade won't be as effective as it could be. In my search for yet another book, I thought it would be fitting to submit a review for this one while I am at it. I used the media player for about 8 months, but that was with As far as I am concerned, do not read any further.

This is the best manual can opener you will ever find (5/5)

Several supermarkets near my house (Giant and Safeway) used to carry the Swing-Em brand I wanted to replace my old can opener (at least 10 years old) but found that both brands were different. My thinking was that a can opener is also a can opener, so I bought whatever I could find. Then we went to Safeway, then to Giant, then to Home Goods, and then to All of them failed to work properly one after another. As long as I could still use the The old way had become somewhat blunt over the years, but it was still much better than any junky new ways. Amazon finally came to mind and I was able to take advantage of their services This swings back and forth I looked for a new can opener that looked the same as This is the first item I've purchased, and I love it. I'm impressed with how well it works. It doesn't stick, it doesn't slip, and it doesn't cause soup to spill out. Swing, thanks for the kind words Here is an excellent can opener that will last you a long time.

I have never used a can opener that was worse than this (1/5)

There is nothing good about this! The video was skipping repeatedly after I purchased it a week ago, so I had to go back and fix it Remove excess vegetation and recut overgrown areas This is done. It has been 1 year and 3 months since we moved in Cans are my least favorite thing to open. That thing is useless and I just threw it away A new one has been ordered after getting bean juice splattered on my eye for the last time. I have cut myself more times than I can recall, and I am pretty convinced that it's time for a new one. There are always handles falling off & there is no way to fix it Every time a can is opened, it must be adjusted. Your money will not be wasted!.

After two uses, the latch broke (1/5)

The sleeves came off one time after it was used twice. The only thing holding it in place is positive thoughts, as it looks like it hasn't been used in any extreme way. Does AmazonBasic have a can opener that works? I had the AmazonBasic one break after only five cans. Can you get one that works.
