This tequila shot is perfect for a party and makes a great party drink. difficult (it only takes two ingredients) and what really makes it effective is more the action you take when you take it. There is a similar cool cocktail called the “slammer,” but this shot combines tequila and soda in a large glass as opposed to salt-lemon tequila shot. To drink the drink, the shot glass needs to be slammed on the bar to activate the bubbling of the soda. Then you must quickly consume it. Tasseling tequila in this way gives you a lively experience in your mouth and creates a tequila bubble explosion. In a tequila boom boom, also called a tequilazo or popper, you can pour any soda you like. Sprite, Mountain Dew, and 7-Up are popular substitutes for ginger ale, while sparkling wine is also popular.
Just pour the two ingredients and drink them instead of slamming them together. Then sip it rather than shoot it. Instead of soda, pour Champagne (or another sparkling wine) and you have a Slammer Royale. With the tequila boom boom, vanilla syrup is added to the drink, making it red and sweeter. You can also add some fruit juices. Orange and grapefruit are lovely with tequila, though some people add lemon juice. Ginger beer and lime are also enjoyable.
If you use a rocks glass or old-fashioned glass instead of a shot glass, you have plenty of space to let the beverage fizz. Pour only enough ingredients into the glass to fill it. If you slam the glass down, make sure it is strong and has a thick bottom so it doesn’t shatter. It is not necessary for you to break the glass with such force. It is better to use wood. The napkin will prevent your hand from getting sticky when you drink the fizzy soda, however, it is not required.
