The city doesn’t sleep, so why should you? From dive bars to hidden speakeasies and to New York City’s best kept secrets, mark these cocktails bars as your must-see and must-do during your stay in the Big Apple.

BLACKTAIL, 22 Battery Place Pier A

BlackTail’s story began with a flight – the cocktail bar owes its name to Aeromarine Airways, an airline that flew to Havana regularly. Being one of the newer bars to open at Battery Park City, BlackTail boasts a Cuban-theme and celebrates the daredevil aeronauts back in the days. It also commemorates the Prohibition Era with mixed drinks (five categories, eight original drinks per category) from the 1920s through to the 1950s by creating cocktails with modern day twists and interpretations of the classic recipes.
